Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday #218 (WOYWW)

Hello again ladies!! This is my 2nd WOYWW and my desk is messier today, as I haven't had time to put some of my stuff away from last week... We've been car hunting, and helping a friend move and I have been working on finding the right piece to complete my storage boxes... I see the paper in my head, just need to find it now!!  Ok so here it is my Wednesday mess (which i'm going to clean up in a bit!)

Also a sneak peak on my storage boxes that i'm working on recovering... (they are a long way from done)
Before:

After:
(ok well not after as in finished, but so far...)

Do you know where you can find newspaper print wrapping paper?
I'm on the hunt for some!
Thanks for stopping by!!

  7. Hi Tera,

Target had some newsprint wrapping paper a while I ago. How much do you need? I have at least one little roll. I also have those REAL newspapers from 1920 or so. Would those fit the bill?

    Let me know... :)

  8. I love anything that recycles or re-purposes boxes so this is an instant hit with me. I would try card shops to see if you can find what you are looking for, or try some Tim Holz tissue paper? Happy WOYWW Annette #5

    1. Thank you, It's funny i'm a Holtz addict and didn't think of the tissue paper, but i'd need a lot of it and i'd have to do a base layer to cover the colors/images on the boxes, but that's an idea i'm also keeping in mind!!

  14. P.S. Terra, would you please tell your mom that I enjoyed her visit! I would love to comment, but her comment section is set up in such a way that it is requiring a Google + profile and I don't want to sign up for Google + because of how they set up their privacy settings for Picasa web albums. So please pass on my apologies that I am not able to return the flavor of her visit and welcome her to her second week on WOYWW.

I think she can change her comment section to the way you have yours set. I do have other friends I comment on, who are in the Google+ setup, without a popup requiring that I join Google +.

Another weird thing is that when I go to "follow" both of you, it says I am already a follower but my face is not showing up in either of your follower tiles. That's a Google + thing, too. I just wanted you to know I tried to follow you!

You were a good daughter to help your Mom get those shelves set up TWICE in that heat!! Her room looks great!

  15. OK, those boxes are just awesome!!! I want some!!! I will keep my eyes peeled for the newsprint paper. A really great site for cheap vintage papers is "The Paper Flea Market" I buy vintage stuff from that site often. What did you cover your boxes with?? I saw the binder on "Help with House Plants". I could use one of those as well. I could kill a plastic plant. I have been reading your comments, Im guessing Roberta is your mom?? You 2 look more like sisters rather tham Mother/Daughter. I have put the wrong number at least 2 or 3 x's/ I figured it out, hit the refresh button after you link up, cuz others are linking up at the same time. You''l have your true Mr. Linky # after you hit the refresh. One time I thought I was #6, when really I was like 18 or something. I've rambled long enough. TY for popping by and commenting on my desk. Happy Hump Day!!! (((HUGS)))

    1. Thank you Kimmie! For the fronts of the boxes i just used my favorite Tim Holtz Papers :D, I love the imagery of them! I can't wait to get them finished! You should totally make some! Much cheaper than buying any, and they are custom to your paper choices that way! Haha that's funny that you saw the binder on "Help with House Plants", I actually bought it fr like a quarter, and someday will probably alter it or make some sort of mini/smash book or something with it... at least that's the plan. you where right Roberta is my mom, and everyone says we look more like sisters, even though she's 21 years older!!(I guess this is a complement for her, hoping that I don't look that old yet...lol) Thank you for your nice comments!

Hope that helps! And you are a sweetie to help your mom out with her craft room and yours is looking super...loved what you did with your storage boxes! Thanks for stopping by my explosion and leaving a comment already...I know what you mean about getting it just right...I've crafted a little this week and so far I'm really liking the new space and getting things just exactly where I want them. Now, my bedroom...that's another story. My bed is still in the living room! lol :) Hope you find what you are looking for, on the paper, and enjoy the rest of WOYWW! :) Deeyll

  19. You could try real newspaper and spray it with a protectant, I have done this before quite successfully. You have a very productive desk and some lovely cards in the making I see. Belated WOYWW sorry I am visiting so late it's hard when you do shift work.
