Happy WOYWW
Ok This is going to be a quick post as I have to much going on, and am STILL working of my robot custom order album (I'm finally putting all the finishing pieces on it today! I Love how it's come together! (I think i may be to much of a perfectionist though, which is why it's taking to long, plus I've not been home much the last few weeks)
I promise to try to do a video of it when it's done : D For those of you who don't know what WOYWW is read more about it on Julia's Blog, and be sure to check out everyone else's fun desks!
In other news:
He is doing great, finally got the bleeding to stop, and he never whined or anything! (he didn't even know he was hurt, walking around getting blood all over my white kitchen floor! We had to hold him down to bandage it since he still wanted to go back to playing ball...oh, the energy of pups! he's 1.5 years old !)
Also Here is a quick photo of the finished shadow box card you saw a peak at a few weeks ago! (sorry the picture isn't great it was taken with my phone)
Ok, well that's all from me! HAPPY WOYWW everyone, and I hope you all have a wonderful week!!
I promise to try to do a video of it when it's done : D For those of you who don't know what WOYWW is read more about it on Julia's Blog, and be sure to check out everyone else's fun desks!
(see it's self standing now!!!)
(Moss supervising from the other room earlier in the day...working in my dinning room today)
(wow look at that dust on my mini heater! OOPS... ^^^ You can tell i just broke that out of storage!!)
In other news:
I'll be teaching my 1st card class in a week from tomorrow!
AND
My 3rd Wedding anniversary is Thursday! (10 years together!)
ALSO...
My poor pup cut the tip of one of his pads off somehow playing in the yard today! OUCH! (I'll spare you the picture i took of his poor foot un-bandaged, as i know some people don't like wounds)He is doing great, finally got the bleeding to stop, and he never whined or anything! (he didn't even know he was hurt, walking around getting blood all over my white kitchen floor! We had to hold him down to bandage it since he still wanted to go back to playing ball...oh, the energy of pups! he's 1.5 years old !)
(look at those bandage skills! As you can see he was mad I told him he couldn't chew on it, so he's pouting in the 1st pic!)

Lovin' some Layouts with Flair!
Happy Monday everyone!!
Today, I'm going to share my 2nd Zappy Dots Design team project with you. This time I made a super fun scrapbook Layout with the Zappy Dots Comic Book Flair! My brother is an MMA fighter, so the words and colors of these worked perfectly.
My brother is the one in black if you are wondering. I loved this photo, so I knew it needed to be scrapped! I made this layout an 8 1/2 x 11 so that it can be placed in my scrap binder.
Here are some close up photos so you can see the detail of just how wonderful these flair buttons are! the colors are vibrant and easy to read, while maintaining that perfect comic book feel!
(my brother has always wanted to be a comic book hero anyhow, so now he is one!!)
Thank you all for stopping by! I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do, and if you want to wish my brother luck his next championship fight is October 12th!
This other photo is from his last title fight!

* Glossy accents (or your favorite adhesive)
* Yarn
* Buttons
* I used the 3d lori whitlock 5 drawer organizer box cutting file on my Silhouette Cameo
(If you don't have an electronic cutting machine you can find some wonderful boxes like this made of wood at your local craft and hobby store. I have seen similar items at stores such as Crafts 2000, Hobby Lobby, and even some Joann's. You could also look at yard sales and second hand shops also.
Ok, now for the fun part...
How to turn your flair buttons into drawer pulls in 5 easy steps!
Step 1. Select your favorite flair buttons (one for each drawer pull needed), yarn, and 1 button for each flair button.
Step 2. Cut strips of yarn and thread through each button (see photo bellow)
Step 3. Fill inside of flair button with glossy accents (or your desired wet glue)
Step 4. Gently place your button with yarn threaded through into the glue (let dry over night)
Step 5. Feed the yarn through the holes in your boxes and tie a knot. (you may cut yarn shorter at this point. See photo below for what they look like finished.)
Enjoy your new piece of art!!
