Books and Dragons in the Mail

Hello Crafty People!

Happy Memorial Day and Mail Art Monday!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful day, and I hope you had an amazing weekend!

As I'm sure you know, I love creating mailart... This piece is no exception!
I loved this little dragon stamp, so it was a clear winner when I sat down to play!

(You know how a stamp just calls to you some time, this was the one that called to me when I was pondering what to create.)

Blue and Green combos are always a favorite color combo, so when it came to a dragon envelope, what better color combo to use?!

I started by stamping the dragon in memento ink. Then I built the rest of my envelope around him. I chose to use a variety of my favorite art journal style stamps.  The edging was colored with distress oxide inks.

I colored with alcohol markers. I also used Wink of Stella clear glitter on the belly of my dragon
(you can see in the GIF below)

I hope you all like this envelope as much as me. :D

I may have to keep this envelope around for a while!

Have a wonderful week!

Black White and Pop of Color #2

Hello Everyone!

Today I decided to play along with week 2 of the Stampotique designers challenge. The theme is black and white with a pop of color.

As I stated last week, I love the black and white theme!

Stampotique Stamps Used:

I have so many friends with birthdays coming up, so whats better than making a birthday card?
(Something I'm always in need of!)

This card pretty much fell together with ease. I love Buru, so this piece was created around him. :) Below you can see the steps I took to create this piece.

(The hat was fussy cut and glued on. Also I used black ink to distress the edges)

I also used the Tim Holtz stamp press to stamp the Happy Birthday with distress oxide ink.

I hope you all enjoy this card as much as Me!

Black, white, and a pop of color!

Hello Everyone!

Today I decided to play along with the Stampotique designers challenge. The theme is black and white with a pop of color. I love the black and white theme!

This theme gave me so many ideas... I only had a short time to play this morning before I head out the door to work, so i had to make a decision.

I chose to use my seahorses and went with a sea theme.
I love love love these seahorses!!

I used glossy accents to make the seahorses pop even more.

I hope you all enjoy this card as much as Me!

Easy Any Occasion Cards

Hello everyone!

Today I want to share 2 easy cards I created for Viva Las VegaStamps. These are fun and easy for any occasion. You can easily customize these to your exact occasion needs by just switching colors or a stamp or two.

STAMPS USED:
Color wheel lines
Solid color wheel
Scribble Circle
Row of Numbers
Death head Moth
Squiggly Star Collage

Other Products:
Distress ink and archival ink
A2 card bases in white
Cutter bee scissors for my fussy cutting
Stencil

I started with a plain white card base in A2 size. I used to distress ink to stamp the colored images, and any black details were stamped with black archival ink.

You could add pop-dots to add depth to your card, or you could do this card with lots of masking to keep everything as flat single layer card. I chose to do mine as a few flat layers. :)

(the star, the moth, and the yellow lined color wheel were my 3 layered pieces)

I hope you enjoy these cards! Thank you for visiting.
