Bigfoot Sighting...

Bigfoot, also known as the "Ohio grass man" in my neck of the woods (along with many other names), has always been a creature of lore, but you will see him for sure on the card below. 

Clearly someone has been gathering evidence?!

Start by stamping out bigfoot and distress

Same for your "evidence label"

Next you can see a scarp from my junk box I pulled out, it has vintage photo distress spray ink on it and texture paste.

I combined all these peces plus a tag with some rub-on's (Tim Holtz "remnant rubs") to create the card below. Super Easy! Embellish with more remnant rubs, faux stitching pen marks, staples and metal clips. 

I hope you all enjoy this!

Time for week 2 of the Stampotique Originals Designers Challenge- Swaperoo

If you couldn't guess, the theme swaperoo, means use multiple stamps and swap parts and pieces... I chose to do a head swap!

Spiral Daydream

I used the skull head from the Halloween cube, on Weasel's body. 

The background was created with Dylusions paints, texture paste, and dylusions stencils. I also added a few slicks of distress stains. I added distress oxide ink around the edges. 

I colored my stamped images with a combination of alcohol markers, and colored pencils.

Nothing but Turquoise Challenge

Today I want to share a card I made for the 

Stampotique Designers Challenge- "Turquoise Only"

I usually struggle with not stamping in black (although black and white are allowed to be used with this challenge).  Fortunately, I have several turquoise inks.  I started by getting out all of my inks out.  

I began by stamping my images, with the darkest of them (using this as a substitute for black). 

I stamped them on separate card stock, then used my scanNcut to cut out my images.  

While my images were being cut I went to work on my background.  The background was made with Flat Magical powders (caribbean blue, and a dash of luscious lime).  You can also create a similar background with regular inks in the "smooshing" technique on your craft mat.  I used a heat tool to dry this layer.

I "water colored" my images with various inks, and glued them down. 

then added texture paste through a stencil.  While the texture paste was still wet, I added glitter embossing powder.  I let this dry naturally. (when that I was dry, I embossed the glitter.)

To add glitter on other fun bits, I used my wink of stella clear pen. 

The glitter doesn't photo quite as well as I would like, but I hope you get the idea.  It is way better in real life.  

Making Mischief and Messes

Hello to anyone stopping by...

Today I'm just sharing a couple pictures of what I've been up to the last couple weeks.
(besides making general mischief). 

(not that I think many people are going to want to see anyway)

I was talking with a friend about these, so even though I don't think these pieces are completely done, I thought I would share... and I know if i don't do it now i will mail them out without ever sharing (I just need a few finishing touches on each.) Also, the pictures aren't great. Its 9:30 pm and dark here... plus I took these with my phone.

I have been on a Tim Holtz paper doll kick, along with distress oxides, and the Yupo paper/alcohol ink lift technique... 

Ok, SO lets start.... These first 3 are all postcards... and Distress oxides (along with other junk...texture paste, stamps, stains, etc)

(the one sister looks so thrilled... hence the hat)

(this was actually the 1st postcard I made.  About a week before the others, so I will probably go back and add more texture to this piece)

The Next 4 are all A2 size cards created with alcohol ink and Yupo paper... 

This is so much fun to "lift" the image off and get a ghosted image... 

I also made a batch of distress oxide backgrounds, so you may see some more pop up like the first 3...

(there are too many to post... I think I had 28 inky pieces when I finished the other night... nothing pretty but just bases to start projects on)
