I will miss you all but i'm so thankful for the opportunity that VLVS has given me and i hope to come back after I finish school.

Today I want to share a fun steampunk tag just in time for New Years!

-Various chipboard die cuts
-Metal embellishments (Tim Holtz or other) I used a Tim Holtz wing and metal fastener, as well as a button
-Black Dylusions spray ink
-perfect pearls shimmer spray
-InkaGold -Silver, Orange, Black
-Scrapbook paper ruler
-Favorite Adhesive (I used Glossy Accents)
-distress markers to color yours stamped image

Start by spraying your chipboard pieces and tag with black dylusions ink, then allow them to dry. Next use your finger to dry rub the inkagolds on your chipboard pieces for a metallic feel. Also add some inkagold to your metal pieces. :D

I then arranged the pieces on the tag and glued them down with glossy accents. For my stamped image I stamped her on cardstockwith verafine ink, I colored her then misted with the perfect pearls shimmer spray to keep a consistent shimmery look.

Tera <<<---- You are Here! :D

Supplies:
Ink - VersaFine Sepia & Black
scrap Christmas paper, kraft paper and embossing folder (optional)
Tim Holtz Tiny attacher and adhesive

Start by cutting your card base from Kraft paper, (I embossed mine with a dot embossing folder).
Next stamp your Santa in the right hand corner with VersaFine ink in Sepia ink.

To add depth I grabbed some scrap Christmas music paper and ripped it to fit the side of my card. Before attaching it to your card use your sepia ink to pre-distress your paper.
At this time you can also stamp your "Joy" on a scrap to be cut out and distressed as well

Use adhesive and your tiny attacher to put your card together, and there you have it a super cute and easy Christmas card in no time at all!! :D

Dreaming of Spring Mail Art

Hello, It's me Tera here again with a "dreaming of spring" mail art piece

Field of Wildflowers

Distress Markers
Distress ink: in various greens, and weathered wood for the sky

Feed your soul Mail Art

Hello Again, It's me Tera here with more fun Mail Art!!
Today's envelope is a little sweeter/cuter than my normal style and I must say I love it!!

Viva Las VegaStamps Used:

Feed Your Soul 3/4 x 4 1/4

Line of Grass 3/4 x 3 3/4

Boy in Tub Boat 2 1/2 x 3 3/4

Plate 1449 (plane found on this plate)

Place Stamp Here 1 1/4 x 1 1/4

Start by stamping your line of grass in various green inks along the bottom of your envelope, don't be afraid to stagger them for depth. Next stamp the Boy in Tub Boat in versaFine Sepia ink. While that drys you will want to make a mask to cover the image so you can sponge on some clouds without getting any on the boy image. After I used a mask to create some clouds, I then stamped the plane in VersaFine sepia ink. I removed the mask from the boy, and colored him with various markers, and added a touch of red to the plane too!

Now pick your quote to stamp along the grass.. Mine was "Feed Your Soul" I 1st stamped it in black ink, then added white highlights with a gel pen to make it pop! To finish the piece off I stamped the "place stamp here" square so everyone would know yes, it really will go through the mail!

Thank you for stamping along with us!!

Halloween Tag Tutorial

Hello Again!!!
Today I'm going to share a super fun tag tutorial just in time for Halloween. This set was created for 100 proof press using the Skeleton Torso Stamp (found HERE)
Large Handwriting (HERE)
Profit & Loss Sheet (HERE)
Anatomical Heart (Optional for charms HERE)

Ok Lets get started...
(maybe grab your morning drink, because this is really photo heavy...)

I started with some patterned scrapbook paper for a nice base.
(this paper was by prima a fairy paper set?)

Start by inking your tags with Distress ink in Wild Honey

Next using distress ink in vintage photo stamp the large handwriting on the background

Now for some contrast use the distress ink in Dusty Concord stamp the #'s from the profit & loss stamp

Now flick some water drops to distress your tag

Ok, We're back to the dusty concord to distress around the edges of your tag

Next using Black VersaFine ink stamp your skeleton on the center of the tag, then rough up/distress the edges of your tag to give it a nice tattered look

Now lets pull the tag together...
I added some tiny tags (cut from scrapbook paper) and a tiny paper clip
I also added a strip of Tim Holtz washi tape on the side
(see below)

(now re distress the edges and add ink on the edges)

Ok, now ink up your ribbon using the same colors then dry, Tie on the tag and add some Tim Holtz charms...
Want to see a bonus on making your own charms using stamps and shrink plastic???
If you said yes keep scrolling down ;)

Stamp your Anatomical heart on some shrink plastic

Now cut it out as close to the stamp as you feel comfortable but be sure to leave room at the top to make a place to hook a ring through, then punch a hole (i used my crop-o-dile eyelet setter for this)

Here you see the size before it is shrunk (don't panic!)
You can also see what I mean with the ring

Shrink your Heart
(i forgot to take the ring out after my picture so i had to make a new hole because i had issues when shrinking since the metal got too hot and melted through the shrink plastic...)

Using alcohol inks distress your heart to your desired look

Now add to your charm ring and Enjoy!!!

I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial! :D
Thank you for visiting!!

Just What the Doctor Ordered!

Hello Again Everyone!!!
It's me Tera here again with another super fun tutorial!!
Today I want to share something that would be great as Halloween props, or for general decoration if you have a cabinet of curiosity's like I do! This is still in keeping with the creepy medical theme I have had the last few projects, as you can tell I LOVE this theme!!!

Ok lets get started to create these vintage style medical labels I used the following:

Stamps:

Plate 1430

Other Supplies:
Inks:  in Browns, Reds, Blacks, (any other colors you like) I really LOVE VersaFine in Sepia, and VersaFine Black (because these two won't run if you need to add more distressing) as well as the distress inks in Vintage Photo, Walnut stain, and Antique Linen
Stamping Markers:in RED, BROWNS, BLACK, etc (these are optional if you want 2 tone labels like I made
Miracle Tape (or your adhesive of choice to adhere labels to you bottles)
Small Bottles to alter
DISTRESS STAIN (vintage photo, weathered wood)
Cardstock (for string tags)
printer paper (for labels that will go directly on the bottles)
DieCut Tags (optional)
Scissors
String for tags
Non--Stick Craft Matte to work on
water spritzer

Start by swiping your distress stains (or distress ink) a crossed your craft mat, then spritz with water so the colors will flow better. Drag and blot your paper and cardstock through the stains (let dry between layers so it doesn't become "muddy", I love the look of the spots!)

Now (making sure that your paper/cardstock is completely dry) start stamping your numbers for your "Labels" In various colors to decide what you like the best, This is the fun Part!!!

Once you have your desired # of "labels" cut them out, and decide if they need any "EXTRA Distressing" (many of Mine did!!)

Once you are satisfied with the look of your labels, use your Miracle Tape and adhere to your bottles!! If you've also created form hanging tags, grab some string and tie it to your bottles

Thank you all in advance for your comments!
Hope you enjoyed this fun adventure!!!
