For my piece I chose to create an ATC inspired by my dad. It's hard to believe he's been gone a year and a half already!!
Anyhow, When I think of my dad, one of the first things I think of is how strong he was. So, needless to say I chose "strong" for my focal word.
I started by inking my card stock with antique linen distress ink, then embossing my card stock with a Tim Holtz embossing folder (forgive me I can't remember the name). Now to help the embossing really pop, I sponged on some vintage photo distress ink. To add a little more depth I also stamped the Waybill/invoice stamp lightly with vintage photo ink. Now flick a few drops pf water to react with the distress ink and add some more grunge.
On a separate piece of card stock I stamped the word strong (from the strong man stamp), and Beethoven in black VersaFine ink. I fussy cut them out, and lightly distressed the word strong and Beethoven with vintage photo ink so they would match the background. Lastly, I glued everything together.
Thank you for hopping along with us! I hope you enjoyed this memorial ATC as much as I enjoyed making it.
